If you are thinking about buying a new construction home, be sure to consider your upgrade options!
Due to the epic influence of HGTV, many home builders are offering higher levels of finishes and options in their homes. These offerings can happen when buyers put an offer in a new construction property as at the early stages of construction. Some builders are able to give buyers the opportunity to change or upgrade some of the elements of their home, and depending on the item, it can be for little or no cost. Here are some items we have helped our clients negotiate with their builders to include in their new home:

An Amazon package drop in the front entry

A freestanding bathtub for the primary bedroom

A dog bath in the mudroom
Now you don’t have to be buying new construction for any of these, but if you’re in the pre-construction phase anyway, it could certainly save you time and money to ask now! Personally, we have been in our home for a few years and recently installed a dog wash for our pups. It’s been an absolute game-changer for our family, and something we wish we had done sooner!
